May 4 - TeamChild Receives Grant from Local Foundation

TeamChild received a grant this week from the Greater Tacoma Community Foundation as part of its Vibrant Community initiative! This grant will support our Pierce County office's Wellness Project to help youth with mental health needs understand and assert their rights to services so they can remain emotionally healthy and trouble-free in the community.

April 24 - Local Woman Supports TeamChild Through Ironman Journey

We would like to thank Kristine Ott Kloepfer for supporting TeamChild through her Ironman Journey. Kristine, a former and longtime paralegal at SCRAP, has always been passionate about advocating for youth and families. We will be thinking of her on race day (June 24th) and thank her for believing in us and our young clients!

February 23 - Remembering Katie Stelter-Belisle

Katie Stelter-Belisle 1961 - 2012. Katie was a zealous advocate for children and their families and a champion for TeamChild as a longtime supporter and Board member. Katie fought for the rights of children to have a fair chance at success and happiness in a system that fails to meet a child’s most basic needs. We are incredibly humbled that her family has asked that remembrances and memorials be sent to TeamChild to honor her passion and work on behalf of children. December 2 - Stop School Pushout Event

On Thursday December 8th, the League of Education Voters is hosting a forum called: "Stop School Pushout: Diplomas not Handcuffs" at 6:30pm at Evergreen State College in Tacoma. Paul Alig, Tacoma TeamChild Staff Attorney will be participating in this event. Register and get more information here.
