All children should be seen and heard.

Who We Serve

TeamChild works with youth, generally between the ages of 12-18, who come from low-income families and are involved in or at risk of involvement in the juvenile justice system. Some of the youth we serve are facing criminal charges. Some have already been convicted and are on diversion, probation, or parole. Other youth might interact with the court system because of dependency matters (foster care), or because of a Child In Need of Services (CHINS), At Risk Youth (ARY), or truancy petition.

Our clients face other significant challenges in their lives in addition to juvenile justice involvement. They are often marginalized by life circumstances like poverty, abuse and neglect, family conflict, trauma, mental health needs or learning disabilities, homelessness, and discrimination.

We currently serve youth living in the following Washington State counties: King, Pierce, Snohomish, Spokane and Yakima counties.
