As a proud native of Seattle, WA, I attended Franklin High School and was a member of their Mock Trial team. The training that I received at Franklin High led to my desire to pursue a legal career. I went on to graduate from Washington State University (Go Cougs!) and then pursued my law degree at Gonzaga University School of Law. Post law school, I relocated to Tacoma, WA where I worked as a Pierce County Prosecutor for several years. As a prosecutor, I understood the importance of working with youth in the community and addressing their needs in order to reduce and eliminate their involvement in the criminal justice system. At TeamChild, I currently work with youth and young adults that are at risk of, or already involved in, the juvenile or criminal justice system and are experiencing homelessness. I assist them with finding suitable sustainable living situations that work for the individual. TeamChild is heavily engaged in community lawyering and rely on strong partnerships with community providers to address the full range of our clients’ needs. I enjoy working in Pierce County alongside many local organizations that share the same vision and goals for our young people.
