I grew up in rural Pierce County, graduating from White River High School in Buckley then earning my B.B.A from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma. From a young age I knew that I wanted to be an attorney and serve marginalized communities. During law school, I completed externships with the Seattle Office for Civil Rights and Northwest Immigrant Rights Project and participated in Seattle University’s immigration clinic. I completed the QLaw Foundation Sher Kung Fellowship with TeamChild Pierce County in 2018. During that time I worked with youth at Oasis Youth Center on the various legal issues they were faced with, and completed a report on youth experiencing homelessness in Pierce County. After graduating from Seattle University School of Law, I decided to return to TeamChild because I truly appreciated the focus on youth-driven work, community lawyering, and the general focus on aiding clients in a holistic manner. I look forward to partnering with youth and community to eradicate barriers to youth success.
