We’re not going back in time — we’re moving forward with purpose. Forward to the Future: 30 Years of Youth Justice celebrates three decades of TeamChild pushing boundaries, amplifying youth voice, and building a justice system rooted in healing, dignity, and possibility. Join us to honor where we began, celebrate how far we’ve come, and look boldly toward a future where every young person experiences belonging, opportunity, and justice.
Event Details:
Location: House of Smith Wines – Jet City in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle
1136 S Albro Pl, Seattle, WA 98108
Time: Doors open at 5:30, program begins at 6:45. Food and drinks will be served from 5:30 – 6:45, please arrive with enough time to get dinner and drinks.
Parking: There is no parking available in the small lot in front of the winery. We encourage guests to use public transportation, rideshares, or to find street parking in the area.
Attire: For our 30th birthday celebration, we’re embracing a 90’s Futuristic theme — think 1996 meets 2056. You might come dressed in fashion from 30 years ago, 30 years in the future, or anywhere in between. From brightly colored windsuits to heavily shoulder-padded blazers to grungy flannels to space suits – there’s no right or wrong way to interpret the theme. Have fun with it and do you. Most importantly, don’t stress. You are welcome exactly as you are.
Check In: You will be receiving an email from our auction software to check in before the event. This will allow you to enter your credit card information ahead of the event in order to participate in our Live Auction and Raise the Paddle.

Food and Drink: Dinner is included with your ticket. We will be serving food by Mami Tran’s food truck. You’ll have a choice between banh mi, a vermicelli noodle bowl, or garlic noodles with your choice of chicken, pork or tofu. We will have wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverage options. All guests get 2 free drink tickets and can purchase more drinks throughout the evening. And don’t leave before getting a slice of birthday cake!
Seating: If you are sitting with a table host, you will have an assigned table with your host. Otherwise, seating will be open. We encourage you to claim a seat wherever you wish with old friends or make new ones!
A Note from our Executive Director
Calling all current, former, and future colleagues, partners, funders and co-conspirators! 2026 marks 30 years of TeamChild, and I would love to celebrate this milestone with you! Each of you has contributed so much to the lives of young people, to advance more just systems that support youth and their families. And along the way, you all made working together such a joy! Please come reminisce about meeting clients at libraries, Starbucks, basketball courts, family living rooms, as well as courthouses and jails. Share tall tales about the thrilling athleticism of our colleagues' softball plays in the lawyers' league. Revel in the many ways we connected with community partners from karaoke to KYR trainings. Laugh about the ways our clients and colleagues made us smile.
We will catch up with folks from our 3 decades of work, and you can also meet some of the folks who will continue this work for the next 3 decades.
I am grateful to have walked alongside each of you in this very vital and challenging work. I hope you are taking care and staying kind!
