  • Development and Communications Manager – Statewide
    TeamChild is seeking a new addition to our three-person Development & Communications team! This role, reporting to the Director of Development & Communications and partnering with the Annual & Institutional Giving Manager, will be dually responsible for ensuring the success of TeamChild’s marketing and communications for our fundraising and community engagement work. Using creativity, marketing acumen, and an understanding of basic fundraising and donor development practices, the role will help position TeamChild as a leader in our work to advance justice for youth and make TeamChild’s mission and vision understandable and accessible to the community at large.     Development and Communications Manager
  • Senior Attorney – Housing
    This position will provide direct legal advocacy to clients in our four main geographic areas: Spokane, Pierce, Yakima, and King, as well as youth who are unable to be released from detention facilities due to lack of housing from regions across the state.  Senior Attorneys are supported by the Director of Legal Services.  In addition to handling a moderate caseload, Senior Attorneys provide mentoring and support for all legal program staff in their substantive area of focus. This includes co-counseling cases, providing advice and consultation to attorneys about their cases, developing substantive training to all staff in their area of focus, and contributing to the creation of case handling resources (briefs, advocacy letters, and other templates/resources).  Senior Attorneys will also participate in community engagement, outreach/training, and systemic advocacy related to their substantive area of focus.   • Policy Manager – Statewide
    The Policy Manager will work collaboratively with the Interim Executive Director to plan, strategize, and advocate for mission-critical systems level reforms at the public policy level and consistent with TeamChild’s values, vision and mission. TeamChild’s current broad impact goals include (1) decriminalization, decarceration, and abolition, (2) expanding and investing in community-led and community-based alternatives and resources, (3) increasing equitable access to education, health care, and housing supports, and (4) shifting power and repairing harm in BIPOC communities.   • Community Managing Attorney
    The Community Managing Attorney supervises staff attorneys in King, Pierce, Spokane, and Yakima Counties, as well as a Case Support Specialist. The team represents young people (ages 12-24) in those four counties on civil legal issues, prioritizing youth who have been impacted by juvenile court involvement or are highly at risk for court involvement. Priority legal representation is around education and housing stability in community. The work also includes outreach, community education, and policy work. Please see the job description below:

    This Statewide Managing Attorney supervises statewide attorneys, who carry caseloads in King, Pierce, Spokane, and Yakima Counties, as well as a Case Support Specialist. The team represents young people (ages 12-24) in those four counties on civil legal issues, prioritizing youth who have been impacted by juvenile court involvement or are highly at risk for court involvement. Priority legal representation is around education and housing stability in community. The statewide team includes two specialist attorneys, one focused on education law and the other on housing. Senior Attorneys carry case loads in their area of focus and are also expected to support other staff attorneys in those case areas. They both co-counsel and develop case-handling materials.     Statewide Managing Attorney
  • Community Staff Attorney – Pierce
    The Community Staff Attorneys in King, Pierce, Spokane, and Yakima counties work as part of a collaborative statewide team that is dedicated to youth-centered legal advocacy and working to continually reflect and improve our client services and office and program practices. Primary job duties include providing holistic civil legal representation to youth who are involved in the juvenile court system or highly at risk for involvement. Advocacy involves breaking down legal barriers to a wide array of community-based services and supports, prioritizing education and stable living situations, and including behavioral health care, postconviction (record sealing/restitution), and other civil rights issues. Activities include legal advice and/or representation in administrative or judicial proceedings, negotiations or other dispute resolution processes, advocacy in juvenile court in partnership with public defenders to promote alternatives to secure detention, and collaboration with and referrals to community providers. The staff attorney is also responsible for developing a network of local partnerships with social service programs, juvenile court staff, and community advocates/leaders. The attorney participates in other advocacy activities, including community training, outreach, and policy work on behalf of our client base. Please see the job description below:
